Converting GPX into a video subtitle
This page allows you to upload a GPX file (this is a GPS/navigation system file) and based on the waypoints, it will generate a
SubRip (.SRT) subtitle file which can then be played with your video to indicate:
- Ground speed
- Altitude
- Real route in degree (0° meaning North, 90° meaning East, ...)
If the generated file has the same name (except the extension of .SRT) of your video file, most players (including YouTube) will add
the SRT to the played video. It is extremely important to synchronize the video with the GPX. So, select a specific point (just before take-off, just before leaving parking position, ...) where the video and the GPX are on the same time.
